Youth Hockey Regular Season
The Tri-County Cyclones (formerly the Kent Cyclones) are charter members of the Cleveland Suburban Hockey League (CSHL), and the North Coast High School Hockey League (NCHSHL). Our youth teams participate in the preseason and regular season activities through CSHL. Our goal is that each team play in two tournaments in addition to our preseason/regular season games.
Our teams over the last three years have averaged over 60 practices per year.
2025-2026 Details
Tryouts
Initial tryouts for 2025-2026 have concluded. Fall Supplemental tryouts will happen during the first week of practices for new players and to evaluate any potential player movement from spring tryouts. For any additional questions, Request for Information

Regular Season
Regular season practices begin on August 17, 2025 and teams will regularly practice twice a week in the evenings.
Preseason Games begin Mid-September, 2025 (less beginner 8U, no preseason)
Regular Season goes from November to February (less beginner 8U, early Dec. to early March)
Playoffs are held on Late February. The finals are held end February/Early March (less 8U, no playoffs)
Where
Practices are primarily held at Kent State University Ice Arena.
Teams may practice periodically at Garfield Heights Rec Center.

After tryouts you will decide if you want to commit to the season by making a non-refundable deposit.
Deposit and Tryout cost will count towards your regular season dues.
The remaining amount of regular season dues can be paid at the time of deposit or you can pay the remaining balance in installments, split evenly, on Sept. 30th, Oct. 30th, and Nov. 30th.
